Jack Layton`s Letter to Canadians

The following is an excerpt from the letter by the late Jack Layton, the leader of the New Democratic Party to all Canadians dated August 20, 2011, Toronto, Ontario. The last paragraph of his letter is perhaps the most powerful and moving and it reminds us the true value and the basic dignity in life.

My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world.
